2012 Theme Word

Relax. I chose the word relax because I want to settle down and focus on what I wanna do with my life and to do better in school. This year all depends on weather i make it to my senior year and this year is when I need to start figuring out what I'm going to do after high school. This year I just need calm down, and focus on my school work and my life before its to late and I don't  graduate.

So this year in 2012 I plan on being relaxed and taking everything slowly, and focusing on everything I need to focus on school, life, sports, and what I'm going to after high school. This year I'm just gonna relax.

Womens Rights in Sports!

Assertion/Claim:
  • High school women and mens sports should be treated equally.
Evidence- Concrete Detail:
  • Women have the same rights as men.
    • Commentary 1- Women run just like a man and sometimes even faster.
    • Commentary 2- Women play soccer, basketball,  and softball (baseball) just like a man they throw, shoot and kick the same.
  • Guys sports in high school more praised on in sports.
    • Commentary 1- Football has had more money spent on them than all the other sports in high school put together, yea they are very successful but of course their head coach is Athletic director.
    • Commentary 2- As for high school girl sports they have not had new jerseys, or warm ups in the last 3 to 4 years but the football team gets new things each year just cause who their coach is.
  • Opposing Claim/ They say:
    • People say that the boys are better and they work harder and deserve what they get, and that our school is a football school and that's all everyone cares about.
  • My Rebuttal/ I say:
    • If a woman devoted her life to working out, and eating healthy all the time I think she could play with the men. It should be a woman choice what she plays, if a girl signs up for football she should have to fill out \forms and if she gets hurt shes responsible not the coaches it was her choice to be out there. They don't make football leagues for girls in high school, and I don't understand why!
  • My Paragraph
    • High school girl sports are looked down upon while high school boys sports get worshiped for everything they do. People involved with athletics should be more involved than what they are. Women can do just about anything a man can do so I don't see what is so special about them, and why everyone thinks they are better. Women need to be treated equally and get the same treatment men get we aren't working hard everyday for nothing, we are doing it for a fans and to represent our school if we aren't gonna get treated equally why are we out there.

      Henry v.s. Forrest

Forrest always when things got bad would run, as fast and as hard as he could to get away from the bad and when he was out in the jungle fighting he was told to run, but as he ran he stopped to come back and help his friends and he ran and found all those still living and took them to safety.

Henry, when things got bad at war he ran from it cause he was scared of being killed, but unlike Forrest Henry didn't come back as soon as Forrest he stayed away for awhile cause he was still scared, scared of being killed, scared of being called a coward.

      Wounded Warrior Project

The wounded warrior project was a organization started my family's of veterans and veterans that have been wounded in the war. Its for people to help support the soldiers and help them get better in recovery. Wounded warrior project is a good way to come together and help our soldiers who have fought for our freedom, and now  we should pay our respects back.

      War is...

War is violent, killing and fighting
War is cruel, mean and hateful
      War is long, never ending
War is tragic, hurtful and heartbreaking
      War is stupid, pointless
      War is ungrateful, hurtful
      War is brutal, bloody
      War is vicious, death and
      War is sinful, unforgiving
      War is heartless, sad

      Remembering 911

911 was a very sad and shocking day for everyone in the U.S. On 911 we lost 3497 people, some just had  children, some with wives or husbands sitting at home having to watch, feeling helpless and sad, moms and dad having to see their child or friends in this horrible attack. And all the firefighters, paramedics, and police officers all risked their lives to saves others some made it and some didn't.
